The Island of the Dead is a collaborative work between the writer Vincent Daenen, and the painter Olivier Moriette. The two artists materialized their visions of Böcklin's painting without ever consulting each other. Studio-Studio highlighted this confrontation by juxtaposing the written and pictorial works into a refined artist’s book.
